The Asthma Coalition of Long Island is funded by the New York State Department of Health to the American Lung Association of New York and is designed to reduce the burden of asthma on Long Island children and their families by bringing together individuals from all walks of life with an interest in this important chronic disease.
Our coalition focuses on the values of compassion, excellence, commitment, and ethical standards to provide inclusive, obtainable, culturally and linguistically competent services and support within the community in all of its activities.
Our members are comprised of medical and public health professionals, schools, business and government agency leaders, community activists and others dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with asthma through information-sharing, networking and advocacy.
If you live on Long Island and would like to join our coalition and make a difference for people with asthma, become a member. Membership is free and open to individuals and public or private sector organizations that envision a community linked together to support every child in every family to control his/her asthma to live full and active lives.
